Does everyone need to be saved? Could it be that some person who simply tries to live right is acceptable to God just as they are?

The Bible says everyone needs to be saved because:

"All have sinned and come short of the glory of God." (Romans 3:23)

Everyone needs to be saved because everyone has sinned and "trying to live right" will not turn a sinner into a Christian. Only God can make a Christian out of a sinner and He does it only when the sinner comes to Jesus.
